2025 Bon Accord Hat Night Trophy Sponsored by Aberdeen Trophy Centre

16 Jul by Cameron Millar

Seafield BC and Woodend BC hosted this season’s Hat Night Trophy competition, which is again sponsored by Aberdeen Trophy Centre.

Played in glorious conditions, the unusual format of 18 ends being split into 3 sections of 6 ends played against different opposition and on different rinks, once again proved popular for those taking part. To make matters more interesting there are no scoreboards therefore the results are revealed only at the end!

At Woodend, Culter BC emerged as the top score there by 2 shots from Abergeldie BC and Dyce BC a further shot adrift.

At Seafield, it was an even closer affair to decide the best score, as three clubs – Aberdeen, Northern and Whitehall all finished on the same shot difference. On shots scored it was Whitehall who edged out their rivals by only 2 shots over the 18 ends.

The 2025 winners were Culter BC who had a shot difference of +11. Bon Accord President presented the winning team (L to R in the photo) of Steve Davidson, Vince Milne, Harry Hall and Gordon Flett the Hat Night Shield and engraved crystal whisky glass from our sponsors.

Thanks to all the Clubs and your members that took part tonight. Also a big thanks to both Seafield BC and Woodend BC for the use of their green and facilities and to Aberdeen Trophy Centre for sponsoring the event yet again and for providing the engraved glasses.
