Today’s Finals Day brought us fantastic weather which was a complete contrast to the near washout 12 months ago!

Kicking off the day was our Under 25s Singles and Champion of Champions Singles finals.

The Champion of Champions final saw Newhills club champion Liam Angus face Kittybrewster’s club champion and Bon Accord Singles champion Eric Gallan.

Liam responded winning the next two ends scoring doubles to move 15-7 up. Eric bounced back with a 3 to retain hope of a comeback but again Liam kept Eric at distance scoring 3 over the next 2 ends to lead 18-10. Three ends later Liam ended the match with a 21-11 victory. A game a great bowls from both players!

The under 25s singles brought Northern’s Chloe Stewart who had this season won the ADLBA Champion of Champions singles, retained the Northern ladies championship and finished runner-up in the Scottish National Ladies singles face Whitehall’s Owen Jack who had won this season’s District 4 under 25 singles.

After 5 ends, Owen edged ahead 5-3, which he extended to 11-4 after 10 ends.
