Scottish National Championships 2017 - Day 2 Review & Day 3 Preview

Day 2 of the National Championships!

We had interest in 2 events today with Davie Farquharson in the senior singles and the Kittybrewster senior fours.

First up were the Kitty boys!! Sandy, Norman, Jim and Les led most of the game and going into the last end were 14-11 ahead v Mount Vernon. A quarter final place within their grasp!! But alas poor Kitty, a 4 was lost and pipped yee were 14-15! Very hard luck gents and a great effort!

So onto later in the morning and big Davie! Could he keep his stay in the competition extended further? Unfortunately, Davie never got going today v Maitland and went down 4-21. Donโ€™t be too disappointed Davie, you got to the 2nd rd and ticked one more off youโ€™re bucket list getting to Ayr as a player. Well done again!

So we turn to day 3, and yes we still have some Bon Accord involvement!

First up at 9am is the Woodend four of Bill Strachan, Stuart Craigen, our treasurer and part-time match secretary and media officer Cameron Millar and Tony Malley. They play Kelvinda!e in the 1st rd.

Then at 12.30pm we have the Westhill four of David Shaw, Bill Baillie, Alan McKay and Ross Forbes looking to go another 2 steps further than the semi-finals last year. They open up v Caledonia.

And at 5pm, Alan Chalmers and George Milne of Abergeldie start their pairs campaign v Strathmiglo.

Good luck to all tomorrow!! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€
